Resistance or a high level of tolerance in micro-organism has not been reported with use of bronopol.
Pharmacokinetic particulars
Studies conducted in Atlantic salmon with radiolabelled bronopol and residue analysis of rainbow trout treated for 14 days with the product at the recommended dose indicate that bronopol is not absorbed to an appreciable extent when used as a topical treatment.
