Presentation
A liquid containing 83.3% w/v poloxalene.
Uses
For the treatment of frothy bloat in cattle, including lactating cattle.
Dosage and administration
For oral use only. Mix thoroughly with 500 ml (one pint) of water at the rate of 30 ml (one fluid oz) for cattle up to 227 kg (500lb) bodyweight and 60 ml (two fluid oz) for animals over 227 kg (500 lb) and give via drenching bottle.
In severe cases, passage of a stomach tube may facilitate treatment, in which case administer at the above rates in 4.5 litres (one gallon) of water.
Contra-indications, warnings, etc
Withdrawal periods
Milk for human consumption must not be taken during treatment. Milk for human consumption may be taken only from cattle after 24 hours from the last treatment.
Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment. Cattle may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 3 days from last treatment.
For oral use only – not injection.
For animal treatment only. Keep out of the reach of children.
If the animal does not appear to respond to the treatment, obtain veterinary advice.
