Presentation
Brownish, free-flowing granular premix for inclusion into animal feedingstuffs. Each kilogramme of Salinomax 120G contains 120 grammes of salinomycin sodium.
Uses
As an aid in the prevention of coccidosis in chickens for fattening caused by Eimeria necatrix, E. tenella, E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. maxima and E. mivati.
Dosage and administration
For oral administration as a feed additive, to be given in feedingstuffs by its thorough admixture with the feed (premix, supplement, concentrate or compound).
Chickens for fattening
Mix 0.417–0.583 kg Salinomax® 120G per tonne of complete feed to provide 50–70 mg/kg salinomycin sodium
To help obtain uniform dispersion first thoroughly mix the required amount of Salinomax® 120G with 10 times its weight of feed or feed ingredients before blending into the final mix.
The product may be incorporated into pelleted feed preconditioned with steam for up to 5 minutes at a temperature not greater than 80°C.
Contra-indications, warnings, etc
For animal treatment only.
For use in feeds for broiler chickens, chickens for fattening only. Dangerous for turkeys and equines.
Salinomax® 120G must not be mixed with or used simultaneously with feed containing any other anticoccidial or substance having a similar effect.
Salinomax® 120G contains an ionophore. Simultaneous use with certain medicinal substances (eg tiamulin) maybe contra-indicated.
Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment. Broiler chickens may be slaughtered for human consumption 1 day from the last treatment. Keep out of reach of children.
Clean all mixing equipment thoroughly before preparing other feeding stuffs.
Operators handling the product should wear protective clothing including face mask and gloves. Avoid inhalation and skin contact with the product.
If accidental eye contact occurs, rinse out with water immediately.
Do not leave or dispose of the product where it may be accessible to animals not under treatment or to wildlife.
Pharmaceutical precautions
Store Salinomax® 120G and animal feedingstuffs containing the product in a dry place below 25°C.
Close the bag securely after use.
Salinomax® 120G is stable for up to 12 weeks in processed feed which is stored in cool, dry conditions.
