Presentation

A pale pink solution. Contains:

Propylene Glycol 80 % v/v;

Cobalt Sulphate Heptahydrate 0.10 % w/v.

Uses

For the treatment of bovine ketosis, and as an aid in pregnancy toxaemia in sheep.

Dosage and administration

To be administered orally as a drench.

Cattle: 150–200 ml twice daily for 3–4 days.

Sheep: 2 ml/kg body weight up to 120 ml max.

Dose may be repeated 7–8 hours later if necessary.

If signs of disease persist or appear, consult a veterinary surgeon.

Contra-indications, warnings, etc

Operator Warnings: In case of accidental eye contact, wash eyes with plenty of clean water. If irritation occurs, seek medical attention. In case of contact with skin, remove any contaminated clothing and wash affected area thoroughly with soap and water. If irritation occurs, seek medical advice. Wash hands after use.

General precautions: For animal treatment only.

Withdrawal period: Cattle meat - zero days.

Cattle milk - zero hours.

Sheep meat - zero days.

Pharmaceutical precautions

Do not store above 25°C. Protect from light. Protect from frost. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Disposal: Rinse containers thoroughly with water. Dispose of rinsings in slurry or dirty water. Dispose of rinsed containers in the farm refuse. Used containers should not be recycled.
