Uses

Haemo 15 contains B-vitamins, trace elements and amino acids and is designed to be used for the treatment of nutritional deficiencies in the horse.

Dosage and administration

Observe aseptic precautions.

1 ml per 45 kg (100 lb) body weight to be administered once every 48 hours by slow intravenous or slow intramuscular injection, until a maximum of five doses have been administered. Maximum volume at any one intramuscular site 20 ml.

Accidental perivascular injection may cause local swelling and inflammation. This is usually of a transitory nature and lasts for a few days.

Contra-indications, warnings, etc

Injections should be performed slowly.

Anaphylactoid reactions can occur on rare occasions after intravenous injections.

Not to be combined with other preparations.

There is no data available on use of the product in pregnant or lactating animals.

Operator warnings: Care should be taken to avoid accidental self-injection. If irritation occurs, seek medical attention, showing the product label to a doctor.

Following skin/eye contamination, wash/irrigate area thoroughly with cold water. Seek medical attention if irritation occurs.

General precautions: For animal treatment only.

Withdrawal period: Not to be used in horses intended for human consumption. Treated horses may never be slaughtered for human consumption. The horse must have been declared as not intended for human consumption under national horse passport legislation.

Pharmaceutical precautions

Do not store above 25ºC. Protect from light and frost. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Following the withdrawal of the first dose use the product within 28 days.

Discard unused material. The date for discarding unused material should be recorded in the space provided on the label.

Disposal: Dispose of any unused product and empty containers in accordance with guidance from your local waste regulation authority.
