Further information

It is usual in cases of cystitis, for example, to find that the urine is markedly alkaline as a result of the growth of micro-organisms in the urinary tract.

Hexamine and Sodium Acid Phosphate are both excreted in the urine.

Hexamine is hydrolysed to Formaldehyde which has an antiseptic action, but it is more effective in an acid medium than an alkaline medium, hence the combination with Sodium Acid Phosphate to render the urine of acid pH.

This preparation is suitable for sustained therapy over a long period, but for the acute phase consult your veterinarian.

To be supplied only on veterinary prescription.
