Further information
Lignol is a local anaesthetic containing Lignocaine/Lidocaine Hydrochloride (2.0 %) and Adrenaline/Epinephrine (0.001 %). Lignocaine/Lidocaine Hydrochloride produces local anaesthesia with a shorter period of onset, a more intense action and a longer duration than is achieved with Procaine Hydrochloride (Willcain).
The inclusion of Adrenaline produces a local vasoconstriction of the capillaries which delays absorption from the site of injection and also helps control haemorrhage.
To be supplied only on veterinary prescription.
