Presentation

Tylan G250 Premix is a straw-coloured free-flowing granular meal for inclusion in animal feeding stuffs.

Each 1 kg of Tylan G250 Premix contains tylosin phosphate equivalent to 250 g tylosin activity.

Uses

Indications

The prevention and control of swine dysentery and enzootic pneumonia. Treatment and control of Lawsonia intracellularis, the organism associated with Porcine Proliferative Enteropathies such as Porcine Intestinal Adenomastosis (Ileitis) and Porcine Haemorrhagic Enteropathy.

Dosage and administration

Mix the appropriate quantity of Tylan G250 to obtain the recommended levels of tylosin, with 20–50 kg of a suitable feed component prior to incorporation into the bulk of the feed to be prepared. The product should be thoroughly mixed into the complete feed.

For the prevention and control of swine dysentery and enzootic pneumonia

3–6 mg tylosin activity/kg bodyweight, which normally may be achieved by adding the product at the rate of 400 g per tonne, giving 100 g tylosin base per tonne of feed. Feed as the only ration for 21 days, followed by feed containing 160 g of the product per tonne of feed (giving 40 g of tylosin base equivalent per tonne) until the end of the period of risk.

For the treatment and control of Lawsonia intracellularis

3–6 mg tylosin activity/kg bodyweight, which normally may be achieved by adding the product at the rate of 400 g per tonne, giving 100 g tylosin base per tonne of feed. Feed as the only ration for 21 days.

For animal treatment only.

For use in pig feed only.

Operator warnings

May cause skin irritation. Avoid direct skin contact. Wear overalls and impervious gloves when handling the product. Wash contaminated skin. If the operations involve the risk of exposure to dust, wear either a disposable filter and half mask respirator conforming to European Standard EN 149 or a non-disposable respirator to European Standard EN 140 fitted with a filter to EN 143.

Pharmaceutical precautions

To ensure thorough dispersion of the product it should first be mixed with a suitable quantity of feed ingredients before incorporation in the final mix.

Store in a dry place below 25°C.
