Presentation

A sterile injection of vitamins in an aqueous base. Each ml contains:

Retinol

Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3)

Riboflavin Sodium Phosphate

Uses

The protection of animals against secondary vitamin deficiencies during periods of illness, convalescence and unthriftiness arising from a range of bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic infections.

The treatment of primary nutritional vitamin deficiencies. The product is recommended for routine use in young intensively reared livestock in which vitamin deficiencies often occur.

Dosage and administration

By intramuscular or subcutaneous injection. Clean the area of the injection site and swab with spirit. Ensure that all injection equipment is thoroughly clean and sterilised before use.

Piglets: up to 10kg (20Ibs)

0.5–2 ml

Calves, foals, sheep and pigs

5-10 ml

Weaners and lambs

2-5 ml

Horses and cattle

20-30 ml

The injection may be repeated at intervals of 10–14 days. Aseptic precautions must be observed when using this product.

Contra-indications, warnings, etc

FOR ANIMAL TREATMENT ONLY

Milk withdrawal period – Cattle, sheep: zero hours

Meat withdrawal period – Animals must not be slaughtered during treatment. Horses, cattle, sheep and pigs may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 28 days from the last treatment.

User warning:

Care should be taken to avoid accidental self-injection. Wash hands after use.

Pharmaceutical precautions

Do not store above 25°C. Protect from light. Following withdrawal of the first dose, use the product within 14 days. Discard unused material.

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

When the container is broached (opened) for the first time, using the in-use shelf-life which is specified on the package insert, the date on which any product remaining in the vial should be discarded should be worked out. This discard date should be written in the space provided.

Disposal Advice:

Rinse containers thoroughly with water. Dispose of rinsings in slurry or dirty water. Dispose of rinsed containers in the farm refuse. Used containers should not be recycled.
