Coxi Plus™ Dosage and administration The dose rate of sulfadimethoxine in birds is 50mg/kg bodyweight. One sachet of Coxi Plus is sufficient for dissolving into 2 litres of drinking water (which is the daily ration for 40 pigeons or 20 kg total bodyweight). A Coxi Plus treatment normally lasts 5 consecutive days. In case of severe infection, it is advisable to treat the birds for a further 5 days two weeks after the initial treatment. It may be advisable, particularly during the pigeon-racing season, to administer Coxi Plus prophylactically for 2 to 3 days every month. Any unused Coxi Plus solution should be discarded and replaced with a newly prepared solution each day.
