Presentation

A combined live freeze-dried vaccine against canine distemper, infectious canine hepatitis, canine parvovirus and canine parainfluenza virus type 2.

Uses

For the active immunisation of healthy dogs against canine distemper, infectious canine hepatitis, canine parvovirus and canine parainfluenza virus type 2.

Dosage and administration

Reconstitute the vaccine with EURICAN L vaccine using a clean sterile syringe. Administer immediately after reconstitution by subcutaneous injection, applying usual aseptic procedures. Use sterile and aseptic- and/or disinfectant-free equipment for injection purposes.

The following vaccination schedule is recommended.

First vaccination: From 8 weeks of age.

Second vaccination: 3 to 5 weeks later, from 12 weeks of age.

Booster injection should be given annually. In dogs about to enter high risk environments such as boarding kennels and animal shelters it may be advantageous to revaccinate earlier.

Contra-indications, warnings, etc

For animal treatment only.

Do not vaccinate unhealthy animals.

Do not mix with any other medicinal product except EURICAN L.

Vaccination may occasionally cause hypersensitivity reactions in some animals. In such cases symptomatic treatment should be provided. Slight swelling at the injection site may be observed after vaccination. Such swellings will resolve in most animals in 4 to 5 days. Some animals may also show slight dullness during the first three days post vaccination.

In case of accidental self-injection, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or label to the physician.

Pharmaceutical precautions

Store between +2°C and +8°C, protected from light.

Do not freeze.

Keep out of reach of children.

Dispose of waste material by boiling, incineration or immersion in an appropriate disinfectant approved for use by the competent authorities.
