Presentation

An inactivated vaccine (adjuvanted with aluminium hydroxide) containing at least 3 ELISA U. of inactivated whole cell Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae antigen. HYORESP contains 0.2 mg thiomersal per dose.

Uses

For active immunisation of pigs from 5 days of age to reduce infection and lung lesions caused by M. hyopneumoniae.

Dosage and administration

Inject one 2 ml dose by intramuscular route, according to one of the following schedules: either two injections at an interval of 3-4 weeks from 5 days of age or a single injection from 10 weeks of age.

The timing of the vaccination programme should be based on the knowledge of the disease in the herd and the likely time of infection. Vaccination must be performed prior to the expected period of challenge. The single injection programme would be used when challenge occurs during the mid to late fattening period.
