Dosage and administration

Linco-Spectin 100 Soluble Powder is formulated for administration via drinking water.

Pigs

A fresh solution should be prepared each day. Treatment should be started as soon as first symptoms first occur. The recommended dosage is 10 mg/kg body weight per day and is achieved by administering 63 mg antibiotic activity (21 mg lincomycin + 42 mg spectomycin) per litre. This medicated water must be the sole source of drinking water or the pigs over the duration of the treatment, 7 days.

To achieve the required dose rate dissolve the contents of one tub (150 g) of Linco-Spectin 100 Soluble Powder in 1600 litres of drinking water.

Poultry

A fresh solution should be prepared each day. Linco-Spectin 100 Soluble Powder is formulated for administration as the sole daily source of drinking water until consumed, followed by non-medicated water for the rest of the day, if necessary.
