Presentation
Feligen RCP is a live attenuated, freeze-dried vaccine presented in single dose vials for reconstitution with sterile diluent. Feligen RCP contains live attenuated panleucopaenia DSV strain LR 72, FVR F2 strain and feline calicivirus F9 strain.
Uses
For the active immunisation of healthy cats and kittens against feline panleucopaenia virus, feline rhinotracheitis virus and feline calicivirus infections.
Dosage and administration
Reconstitute the vaccine with 1 ml of the diluent provided or Leucogen and inject the contents of one vial aseptically by the subcutaneous route.
Primary course vaccination
In cats of 9 weeks or over, two doses of Feligen RCP, administered 3 to 4 weeks apart will stimulate full active immunity.
Revaccination scheme
A single dose of Feligen RCP is recommended annually to maintain maximum immunity to FIE, FVR and calicivirus.
Contra-indications, warnings, etc
Only healthy cats should be vaccinated. Do not vaccinate pregnant queens. Side effects are extremely rare but occasional hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
Pharmaceutical precautions
Do not freeze. Store the vaccine between +2°C and +8°C away from light. Use the entire contents of the vial immediately after reconstitution. Do not use chemically sterilised syringes or needles. Empty or expired vaccine vials should be disposed of by incineration or immersion in an approved disinfectant.
