Presentation
A brownish dust free granular premix for incorporation into animal feedingstuffs. Coxidin® 200 microGranulate contains 20% monensin sodium (200g monensin sodium per kg of premix).
Uses
The prophylactic control of the coccidial species: Eimeria acervulina, E. maxima, E. necatrix, E. praecox,E. Mitis, E. tenella and E. brunetti affecting chickens for fattening and chickens reared for laying and E. adenoides, E. meleagrimitis and E. gallopavonis affecting turkeys for fattening up to 16 weeks of age.
Dosage and administration
For the oral administration as a feed additive. To ensure uniform dispersion, incorporate Coxidin® 200 microGranulate into a secondary premix prior to mixing it into the finished feed.
Chickens for fattening: Coxidin® 200 microGranulate should be thoroughly mixed into the feed at an inclusion rate within the range of 500 to 625 grammes per tonne of complete feedingstuff in order to provide 100 to 125 mg/kg monensin sodium in the finished feed.
Turkeys for fattening: Coxidin® 200 microGranulate should be thoroughly mixed into the feed at an inclusion rate within the range of 300 to 500 grammes per tonne of complete feedingstuff in order to povide 60 to 100 mg/kg monensin sodium in the finished feed.
Chickens reared for laying: Coxidin® 200 microGranulate should be thoroughly mixed into the feed at an inclusion rate within the range of 500 to 625 grammes per tonne of complete feedingstuff in order to povide 100 to 125 mg/kg monensin sodium in the finished feed.
Contra-indications, warnings, etc
For animal treatment only.
For use in chickens reared for laying and turkeys for fattening for up to 16 weeks of age. Not to be used in breeding birds. Dangerous for equines.
Coxidin® 200 microGranulate must not be mixed with or used simultaneously with any other medicinal product having a similar effect.
Coxidin 200® microGranulate contains an ionophore: simultaneous use with certain medicinal substances (e.g. tiamulin, erythromycin, oleandomycin, sulphadimethoxine, sulphadimidine and sulphaquinoxaline) can be contra-indicated.
Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment. Broiler chickens and turkeys may be slaughtered after 1 day from the last treatment.
Keep out of reach of children.
Operators, handling the product should wear face mask, gloves and protective clothing to avoid inhalation of, and contact with, the product. If Coxidin® 200 microGranulate enters the eyes rinse out with water immediately.
Do not leave or dispose of product where it may be accessible to animals not under treatment or to wildlife.

Pharmaceutical precautions
Store in the original container, well closed and protected from direct sunlight. Expiry date is 2 years from manufacture. No influence due to pelleting is expected. Product remains stable in finished feedingstuff for 3 months and in premix for a period of 6 months.
