Presentation
Coxiril® 0.2% microGranulate is a coccidiostat product for prophylactic control of coccidiosis in broilers, turkeys, guinea fowl and rabbits. An off-white to beige coloured granule for inclusion in animal feedstuffs. Each kg of product contains 2g diclazuril (0.2% w/w).
Uses
As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in broiler chickens caused by Eimeria acervulina, E. brunetti, E.maxima, E. mitis, E. necatrix, E praecox and E. tenella.
As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in growing turkeys up to 12 weeks caused by Eimeria adenoids, E. gallopavonis, E.meleagrimitis and E. dispersa.
As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in guinea fowl for fattening and breeding caused by E. numidae and E. grenieri.
As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in rabbits for fattening and breeding caused by E. stiedae, E. flavescens, E. piriformis, E. magna, E. perforans, E. irresidua, E. media, E. intestinalis.
Dosage and administration
For oral administration as a feed additive. Feed containing Coxiril® 0.2% microGranulate may be given in pelleted or meal form to the animals from 1 day old.
400 - 600 gm of Coxiril® 0.2% microGranulate should be mixed per tonne of complete feed. This will result in a final concentration of 0.8 – 1.2gm diclazuril per tonne of feed (0.8 – 1.2 mg/kg).
To ensure thorough dispersion of the product it should first be mixed with a suitable quantity (20-50kg) of feed ingredients before incorporation into the final mix.
Broilers: Coxiril® 0.2% microGranulate should be thoroughly mixed into the feed at an inclusion rate of 500 gm per tonne of complete feedingstuff in order to provide 1 ppm of diclazuril in the finished feed.
Turkeys: Coxiril® 0.2% microGranulate should be thoroughly mixed into the feed at an inclusion rate of 500 gm per tonne of complete feedingstuff in order to provide 1 ppm of diclazuril in the finished feed.
Guinea fowl: Coxiril® 0.2% microGranulate should be thoroughly mixed into the feed at an inclusion rate of 500 gm per tonne of complete feedingstuff in order to provide 1 ppm of diclazuril in the finished feed.
Rabbits for fattening and breeding: Coxiril® 0.2%microGranulate should be thoroughly mixed into the feed at an inclusion rate of 500 gm per tonne of complete feedingstuff in order to provide 1ppm of diclazuril in the finished feed.
Contra-indications, warnings, etc
For animal treatment only.
Keep out of reach of children.
Coxiril® 0.2% microGranulate should not be mixed or used simultaneously with any other anticoccidial.
Operators handling the product should wear a face mask, gloves, and protective clothing to avoid inhalation of, and contact with, the product. If Coxiril® 0.2% microGranulate enters the eyes, rinse out with water immediately.
Do not leave or dispose of the product where it may be accessible to animals not under treatment, or to wildlife.
Withdrawal period
Treated poultry (chickens for fattening, turkeys and guinea fowl) may be slaughtered for human consumption after treatment. The withdrawal time is zero days.
Rabbits: withdrawal time is 2 days.
Pharmaceutical precautions
Store in a dry place below 25°C. Close the bag securely after use. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Expiry date of Coxiril® 0.2% microGranulate is 3 years from date of manufacture. The product will remain stable in the finished feed for up to 3 months after date of manufacture.
