Terramycin Aerosol Spray is a liquid containing in each 150 ml pack 4 g Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride (3.92% w/w) and is coloured with a blue marker dye. The product is presented in a pressurized container and formulated as a cutaneous spray with a spirit base to assist rapid drying after application. A special valve is incorporated enabling the pack to be operated efficiently both in the upright and inverted positions.

Terramycin Aerosol Spray is indicated for the treatment and control of topical infections caused by, or associated with, organisms sensitive to the action of oxytetracycline.

Foot rot and scald in sheep.

Digital dermatitis in cattle.

For topical application. Shake well before use. For ovine foot conditions a spray time of 3–5 seconds should be sufficient. Repeat treatment at weekly intervals where necessary. In foot rot apply only after appropriate paring of the hoof.

For external use only. Use only in a well ventilated area.

Do not spray in or near the eyes. Operators should wear impervious rubber gloves. Wash any splashes immediately. Wash hands after use. People with known hypersensitivity to oxytetracycline should avoid contact with this product.

Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not spray on a naked flame or any incandescent material. Keep away from sources of ignition. No smoking .

Cattle: meat – zero days. Milk – zero hours.

Sheep: meat – zero days.

Store in a dry place. Do not store above 25°C.

The container is pressurised, do not expose to temperatures above 50°C or sunlight. Do not puncture or incinerate even when empty. Extremely flammable.

Any unused veterinary medicinal product or waste materials derived from such veterinary medicinal products should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements.

Oxytetracycline possesses broad spectrum antimicrobial activity against a wide range of gram positive and gram negative bacteria, certain mycoplasmas, protozoa, rickettsiae and Chlamydia. Oxytetracycline is bacteriostatic and acts by inhibiting protein synthesis within the cell.
